Baumhower’s Victory Grille coming to Millbrook

One of Alabama’s most popular restaurants will soon add a location in Millbrook.

Baumhower’s Victory Grille plans to open a restaurant in The Marketplace at 17 Springs this fall. It is part of the huge, 110-acre 17 Springs sports and recreation complex just off of Interstate 65.

Bob Baumhower, former Alabama football All-American and Miami Dolphins All-Pro, opened his first restaurant in 1981.

The Millbrook location will feature more than 70 large-screen TVs and a cutting-edge audio system, providing an unmatched sports-viewing experience.

“I am beyond excited to welcome Baumhower’s Victory Grille as the flagship restaurant to The Marketplace at 17 Springs and can’t wait until they open their doors for business,” Millbrook Mayor Al Kelley said.

“When we talked to Bob that first time, we took him on a little tour of 17 Springs and he was amazed, really. I think he was very surprised and we got through and we took him down to the lot where we wanted his building to be, and I just said, ‘Mr. Baumhower, I would like Baumhower’s Victory Grille to be our flagship restaurant and sit right here, and he almost came to tears, I think, and we’ve been friends ever since,” Kelley told Action 8 News.

Baumhower’s, the first restaurant in Alabama to offer Buffalo-style chicken wings, is part of Aloha Hospitality, headquartered in Loxley. There are Baumhower’s locations statewide, including in Montgomery, Troy and Auburn in our area.

17 Springs features pickleball courts, tennis courts, five multi-purpose fields for soccer and football, including a 5,500 seat stadium with competition track, six diamond fields and an 86,000 square foot indoor venue called The Fieldhouse.
