A man who had just robbed a business on Zelda Road in Montgomery was arrested after walking past officers on the scene, according to court records.

The robbery happened at about 12:38PM yesterday at the Chevron on Zelda Road.

According to court records, 42-year-old Mose Tolliver III of Montgomery went into the business and demanded $200 and alcohol. When the clerk refused his request, Tolliver became irate and said he would kill the clerk if he did not get what he wanted.

The clerk shut the protective glass partition around the counter.

Court records state Tolliver went outside, got a brick, threw it through the door and went back inside. He then began throwing glass bottles in the clerk’s direction and continued stating he would kill her.

The clerk was not hurt.

Court records say Tolliver grabbed several alcoholic beverages and ran out of the business without paying.

While detectives and officers were still on the scene, court records say Tolliver walked by. He was quickly arrested.

Tolliver is charged with robbery in the third degree.
