Jackson Hospital relaunches “Walk with a Doc” program at Montgomery Whitewater
Jackson Hospital & Clinic is relaunching its “Walk with a Doc” program, which will now be at Montgomery Whitewater.
The program allows Montgomery residents to improve their health by joining local healthcare providers for a walk every 4th Friday of the month at 2PM starting Friday, March 28.
In the past, Walk with a Doc was held at Blount Cultural Park.
“Walk with a Doc” is free and no pre-registration is required. Walkers can talk with Jackson Hospital & Clinic physicians, who will offer guidance and answer health-related questions during the walks.
The program will kick off with Dr. Richard Salazar of neurology leading the inaugural walk.
Walk with a Doc is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to inspire communities through movement and conversation with walking groups led by healthcare providers. Walk with a Doc was started in 2005 by David Sabgir, MD, a board-certified cardiologist in Columbus, Ohio. To learn more, go to the Walk with a Doc website.
