A stretch of unusually warm weather begins tomorrow

Despite the rain and thunderstorms that occurred on Monday, the month of March as a whole was drier than average.  Less than 3.5 inches of rain was measured at the Montgomery Airport, well below the typical March total of 5.2 inches.

Most locations in Central and South Alabama should stay dry through Saturday, as warm winds carry high temperatures at least into the upper 80s.  Rain and thunderstorms will be likely on Sunday before much cooler air arrives.
