ADOC correctional officer arrested for promoting prison contraband

A correctional officer with the Alabama Department of Corrections has been arrested for promoting prison contraband.
ADOC says Isaiah Powell Chambers was arrested for attempting to introduce contraband at Red Eagle Community-Based Facility in Montgomery.
Officials say during entry screening, Powell was searched and three packs of cigarettes were discovered.
He was arrested, transported to the Montgomery County Detention Facility, and charged with Promoting Prison
Contraband 3rd. ADOC say the day of his arrest was his last day of employment at ADOC.
The incident remains under investigation.
