Rain And Storms Moving Through Thursday Night
Clear and dry weather conditions continue over us and will remain until Thursday afternoon. There will be a quick round of rain moving through Thursday night and then another surge of some cooler air just in time for the weekend.
In the meantime, we’re under a clear sky with temps in the lower to mid 40s for low overnight. Abundant sunshine returns and we’re warming into the mid to upper 70s Thursday afternoon. A frontal system will push its way into and through the state Thursday night into Friday. There’s going to be a round of rain and storms Thursday night into early Friday morning. Some of the storms could be strong to possibly severe. The main threats will be damaging wind gusts and large hail. On the backside of the front will be another surge of cooler air just in time for the start of the weekend. Clouds may wrap back around the departing storm system and they may be slow to clear throughout the day.
The upcoming weekend will start out a bit chilly Saturday morning. Temps drop into the lower 40s and only manage upper 60s for highs Saturday afternoon. High pressure will build over the region and we’re expecting abundant sunshine through the weekend and into most of next week. Temps will warm and we’re looking at upper 70s to lower 80s for highs early in the work week. We could be reaching mid 80s by the mid and latter half of that week.
