Rain/Storms Overnight And Then Turning Cooler Again

A frontal boundary is making a push towards our area tonight.  Rain and storms will accompany the front and some of the storms could be strong to possibly severe.  Behind the rain activity will be another surge of cooler air just in time for the weekend.

In the meantime,   There’s going to be a round of rain and storms tonight into early Friday morning.  Some of the storms could be strong to possibly severe. The main threats will be damaging wind gusts up to 75 mph and half dollar size hail possible.  On the backside of the front will be another surge of cooler air coming in on gusty northwest winds.  Clouds may wrap back around the departing storm system and they may be slow to clear Friday. We will even need to keep the chance for a few passing showers as well.

The upcoming weekend will start out a bit chilly Saturday morning. Temps drop into the lower 40s and only manage upper 60s for highs Saturday afternoon. High pressure will build over the region and we’re expecting abundant sunshine through the weekend and into most of next week. Temps will warm and we’re looking at upper 70s to lower 80s for highs early in the work week.  We could be reaching mid 80s by the mid and latter half of that week.
