ACTION 8 UPDATE:

A man arrested in connection to a rape investigation earlier this year is now a free man.

Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office tells Action 8 News that 33-year-old Nicholus Daniels case was tried last week and a jury found him not guilty.

Montgomery police have arrested a man in connection to a rape investigation late last month.

Police say 33-year-old Nicholus Daniels is charged with 1st degree rape for an incident that happened around 2:30 a.m. on March 23 in the area of Forestdale Drive. That area is in the Forest Hills neighborhood.

Daniels was taken into custody by the U.S. Marshals Task Force on April 11 and placed in the Montgomery County Detention Facility.

No other information was available at this time.
