Dallas County Schools hosts ground breaking ceremonies today on two of its campuses — where construction of three new athletic fields is about to get underway.
There’s a lot to cheer about going on at Dallas County Schools.
The school district broke ground on a new softball field at Keith High School in Orrville.
Then broke ground on new a baseball field and a new softball field at Southside High School.
Superintendent Anthony Sampson says it’ll cost the district about $1.2 million to build all three facilities.
“We’ve accomplished a lot with a little,” he said.
“For the amount that we took to get three in place, they’re spending that on one. So, I’m excited about what we’ve done here at Dallas County.”
All three fields are expected to be completed in about 8 months.
