New Hyundai supplier coming to Macon County
A new Hyundai supplier will be coming to Macon County.
Samkwang will be coming to a building at Real Park, Macon County’s industrial complex, just off Interstate 85.
The company makes automotive components and electronics and expects to hire hundreds of people.
From its location in Macon County, the company will be able to supply both the Hyundai plant in Montgomery and the Kia plant just across the state line in West Point, Georgia.
Hyundai recently announced that it would invest $21 billion in the U.S. between now and 2028.
