U.S. Rep. Mike Rogers (R-AL Third District) says we may be just days away from an announcement that U.S. Space Command is coming to Alabama after all.

In 2021, the U.S. Air Force said Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville was its preferred location for the new Space Command due to cost and other factors.

Space Command has a temporary headquarters in Colorado, and in 2023, President Biden decided that’s where it should stay.

Alabama’s Congressional delegation said the Biden White House chose politics over merit.

Rogers says he expects President Trump to reverse Biden’s decision by the end of the month.

The location of Space Command will give the local economy a boost. It’s designed to defend the U.S. in outer space under the Department of Defense.

Huntsville is already home to the Army’s Space and Missile Defense Command.
