Butler County BOE Seeks to hire Qualified Teachers

As a statewide teacher shortage continues to loom across Alabama school systems the Butler County BOE is taking steps to combat the shortage in their school district.

The Greenville BOE is taking matters into their own hands to find and help nourish passionate qualified teachers.

In a partnership with Reach University the system provides tuition for Paraprofessionals who desire to gain their Bachelors degree.  The school system has also created an Elementary Education Career Technical Program at Greenville High School which helps  high school students, who have a passion to teach, gain Early Education degrees.

The school system has need for teachers but administrators stress that they are looking for teachers and not babysitters and any possible applicant must have a love for children and for teaching.

Teacher vacancies are open at each school and will become available across the Butler County school district for the 2025-2026 school year.
