School officials and police in Troy are investigating a possible threat that was made against Troy Elementary School.

Troy City Schools Superintendent Cynthia Thomas said the potential threat was made in a group chat last night.

Law enforcement stepped up their presence at the school today.

Investigators have identified those responsible, but due to their ages, no other details are being shared.
