W.O. Palmer Elementary School Brings Disney to Butler County

 

The Butler County School System welcomed business leaders and community members to share in the magic of Disney while allowing students to show what they’ve learned through the arts in non-traditional ways . News Reporter Teresa Lawson has more.

The W.O. Palmer Elementary School Theatre club showcased its 2024 2025 play of The Lion King Junior– spotlighting actors and actresses ranging from kindergarten to second grade.

Businesses and community leaders indulged in a delicious lunch completely prepared by Greenville High School CTE Culinary Students. These students prepared each dish and served it with an explanation of its process and how it should be eaten. This along with the play depicts in action why Butler County schools encourages learning through creativity.

With the use of a newly installed state of the art sound system and special effects W.O. Palmer created a spectacular performance which shows that when the school system and community work together magic is made.
