ACTION 8 UPDATE: Man charged in fatal hit and run involving pedestrian in Montgomery
ACTION 8 UPDATE: A man has been charged with hitting and killing a pedestrian in Montgomery before leaving the scene.
As Action 8 News has reported, police say at around 1:09AM yesterday, they were called to the 1000 block of Eastern Boulevard, which is near Sam’s Club.
Police say that’s where they found 52-year-old Karla Diane Barclay of Prattville, who had been struck and killed by a car. They say the driver fled the scene before they arrived, but they soon found the car involved, a 2013 Chevrolet Camaro.
Police say they arrested 21-year-old Javier Panuceno on a charge of felony leaving the scene of an accident. Panuceno is being held in the Montgomery County Detention Facility.
No other information has been released.
