Fire damages home in east Montgomery

Montgomery firefighters have battled a house fire in east Montgomery.

Montgomery Fire/Rescue Department Assistant Chief Stanley Cooper said the fire was reported shortly after 8PM last night at a home in the 6400 block of Eastwood Glen Drive, which is in a neighborhood between Bell and Taylor roads.

Cooper said smoke and flames could be seen from the single-story home when fire crews arrived.

He said no one was found inside the home. There were no injuries.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
