Man faces attempted murder charge in Chilton County
The Chilton County Sheriff’s Office says a man has been charged in connection to an attempted murder in Maplesville.
The sheriff’s office says Tony Curtis Mitchell, Jr., has been charged after a female was found in distress on April 29.
At about 2PM on that day, deputies and officers from the Maplesville Police Department responded to a 911 call. Upon arrival, deputies discovered the female suffering from severe lacerations to both hands and possible internal injuries. She was taken to a hospital, where she received emergency medical care.
The sheriff’s office says Mitchell was taken into custody and is being held at the Chilton County Jail with no bond. He has been charged with attempted murder, and the sheriff’s office says additional charges may follow.
