A few strong to severe storms possible Thursday

While we are still in the midst of a wet and stormy weather pattern, sunshine was abundant Thursday morning with no rain or storms in our area. However, showers and storms become possible during the afternoon and evening. In fact, a few storms may become strong to severe, capable of damaging wind and hail. However, rain coverage may remain somewhat isolated. That means some locations remain dry with a partly to mostly sunny sky.

Showers and storms fade away Thursday night, with a partly to mostly cloudy sky. Temperatures remain mild, with lows in the mid 60s. Friday looks partly to mostly cloudy with high temperatures in the low 80s. Showers and storms become scattered during the afternoon, with rain potentially more widespread during the evening and Friday night.

Showers and some storms continue throughout Mother’s Day weekend. Rain looks possible at any time Saturday and Sunday, potentially widespread at times. Otherwise, the sky remains mainly cloudy with highs in the 70s to low 80s each day. Rain lingers into early next week, though rain coverage decreases a bit Monday into Tuesday. A stretch of dry weather begins Wednesday and may last into next weekend.
