First Baptist Church of Prattville shows support for foster and adopted children
Members of First Baptist Church in Prattville and concerned community members met in front of the Department of Human Resources office in Prattville to take a spiritual stroll to the Autauga County probate judge’s office.
That’s where they held a prayer for children in foster and adoptive care.
First Baptist Church works with Alabama Baptist Children’s Home to provide foster care licensing training classes for people who are interested.
“Foster care and adoption is huge and there are so many needs that children and families in our community in our community have,” Julie Palmer, ministry director for the church, told Action 8 News. “We just want people to answer the call to care if God may have been calling you to foster or adopt, reach out to DHR, reach out to Alabama Baptist Children’s Home and find out when those classes are.”
