More rounds of rain/storms Sunday night and throughout Monday
Wet and stormy weather continued Mother’s day across central and south Alabama. Heavy storms were still ongoing in west Alabama late Sunday evening. Showers and storms remain at least scattered about Sunday night into Monday morning. More rounds of showers and storms continue throughout Monday. A few storms may become strong to severe across the northeast part of our area, capable of damaging wind and hail.
Otherwise, Monday looks partly to mostly cloudy with high temperatures in the 70s to low 80s. Rain tapers off Monday night, but scattered showers and storms re-develop Tuesday. Otherwise, the sky remains partly to mostly cloudy with high temperatures in the low 80s. Mainly dry weather finally returns Wednesday, and likely lasts through the end of the week. Meanwhile, temperatures trend warmer, with highs in the upper 80s late this week.
Next weekend may remain mainly dry and warm, with high temperatures in the upper 80s. Chances for rain may return around the middle of next week.
