Mainly dry for the rest of this week, a stretch of summer-like heat

After scattered shower and storm activity lingered earlier this week Monday and Tuesday, mainly dry weather returned Wednesday. However, a few showers and even storms drifted across central and south Alabama during the afternoon. Although, most of these amounted to no more than a few raindrops at most. They likely fade away early Wednesday evening. The rest of the night looks partly cloudy with lows in the mid 60s.

Low clouds or fog may develop early Thursday morning. That mixes out during the afternoon. Afternoon temperatures look hot for the rest of the week, with highs in the low 90s Thursday and Friday. Otherwise, Friday’s weather looks similar to Thursday, with some morning low clouds or fog that mixes out during the afternoon.

Isolated showers appear possible Saturday and Sunday. However, many locations may miss out on rain entirely. Otherwise, the sky looks partly cloudy each day, with high temperatures still near 90°. Next Monday and Tuesday look partly cloudy, dry, and hot with high temperatures in the low 90s. Another cold front may approach Alabama Wednesday. Isolated showers appear possible as a result. The end of the week and next weekend may trend drier and cooler.
