It took almost 70 years, but a Montgomery ballet company is getting its first-ever permanent home.
Montgomery Ballet Artistic-Executive Director Danny Mitsios tells Action 8 News that they will soon occupy the former Dixie Cleaners building on Coliseum Boulevard.
Mitsios says the move was made possible thanks to a generous gift.
The space will include two fully equipped studios, a dedicated costume shop, and a flexible black box theater, all designed to support our mission of making ballet accessible, inclusive, and community-centered.
Montgomery Ballet is launching a fundraiser campaign to help with the renovations.
