Dry Friday, showers and storms return Memorial Day weekend
Friday afternoon remains mostly sunny with high temperatures in the mid 80s north to low 90s south. Friday night looks mostly clear with lows in the low to mid 60s. Saturday looks partly to mostly sunny with high temperatures near 90°. Isolated showers and storms form during the afternoon. A few may become strong to severe, capable of damaging winds or hail. The severe risk is now slight (level 2/5) for the northwest part of our area, and marginal (level 1/5) elsewhere.
Saturday night likely becomes mainly dry. However, more showers and storms develop Sunday afternoon and evening. Again, a marginal risk covers our area Sunday. Showers and storms may be even more widespread on Memorial day. In fact, scattered to numerous showers and storms likely form next Tuesday and Wednesday also. Showers and storms remain isolated to widely scattered Thursday and Friday. However, our area may trend drier next weekend.
