Man killed in Alexander City crash

A man has been killed in a one-car crash in Alexander City.

Alexander City Police Sgt. Drew Machen told Action 8 News that officers were called to the 2000 block of Trussell Road earlier today. They found a car that had left the road and hit a culvert.

Machen said officers believe one person in the car, possibly the driver, was thrown out of the wreckage.  He has been identified as Zhi-Staven Keontre Files of Alexander City.

He was pronounced dead shortly after arrival at Russell Medical Center.

No other information about the crash has been released.
