More Rain And Storms Coming Our Way
A very active weather pattern will continue across our area through the week. Several rounds of showers and t-storms will pass through here. Some storms could be strong to possibly severe. The main threats will be damaging wind gusts up to 60 mph, quarter size hail, along with heavy downpours and frequent lightning strikes.
On going storms across South Alabama will be capable of producing more heavy rain and even strong to severe storms. Damaging wind gusts and large hail are possible. We expect the storms to move into Georgia later tonight. The overnight period will remain mostly cloudy with a shower still possible. Temps will fall into the upper 60s for lows.
Looks like we may catch a break from the rain during most of the daylight hours on Wednesday. There will be another round of showers and t-storms coming in that evening. Any storms that do develop will be capable of damaging winds and hail.
Our active weather pattern of showers and t-storms will continue through Friday. There’s indications are weather will be trending drier for the upcoming weekend. High pressure will build over the region and any rain activity will be few and far between. Temps will manage the mid to upper 80s for highs.
