Additional Rounds Of Rain And Storms Coming Our Way!

Our weather pattern becomes active again tonight and will continue through Friday. Several rounds of showers and t-storms will pass through here.  Some storms could be strong to possibly severe.  The main threats will be damaging wind gusts up to 60 mph, quarter size hail, along with heavy downpours and frequent lightning strikes.

A new round of rain and storms will push into and through the area during the evening hours.  Another round is expected early Thursday morning.  Both rounds will be capable of producing more heavy rain and even strong to severe storms.  Damaging wind gusts and large hail are possible.  We expect the storms to eventually move into Georgia but there will be more on the way.

Looks like a third and fourth round of rain and storms will come late Thursday and then during Friday afternoon.  Any storms that do develop will be capable of damaging winds, quarter size hail,  along with frequent lightning strikes and heavy downpours.

Our active weather pattern will finally come to an end Friday night.  A cold front will sweep through the area and a fresh batch of dry air comes in behind the frontal passage.   This will set the stage for some really nice weather conditions over the upcoming weekend.   High pressure will build over the region and we’re expecting abundant sunshine areawide. Temps will manage the mid to upper 80s for highs while overnight temps fall into the upper 50s to lower 60s.
