The University of Alabama has unveiled its new license plate that will be available this year.

The latest edition is a throwback that features the Vault A logo – a vintage design first introduced in 1973, but later retired in 1998..

Starting June 1, fans can upgrade their current tag or purchase a new one. The new tag will be available at local county offices beginning June 2.

The tag costs $50 above the normal cost. Net proceeds from the license plate program provide scholarships to Alabama resident students.

UA officials say during the 2024-2025 fiscal year, more than 120,000 UA vehicle and motorcycle tags were sold in Alabama, contributing $5.2 million toward undergraduate and graduate scholarships.
