Three Dead, One Seriously Injured in Separate Weekend Crashes in Montgomery
MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WAKA) — Three men are dead and another is seriously injured following a deadly 24 hours involving three separate vehicle crashes in Montgomery over the weekend.
The first incident occurred around 8:50 p.m. Saturday in the 4100 block of Wares Ferry Road. According to the Montgomery Police Department, a vehicle collided with a bicycle, leaving the adult male cyclist with life-threatening injuries. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment. His condition has not been updated.
The second crash happened early Sunday around 1:35 a.m. at the intersection of Bell Road and Brewbaker Drive. Police said a vehicle struck an adult male pedestrian, who died at the scene. The driver fled before officers arrived. The incident is being investigated as a hit-and-run.
About an hour later, around 2:45 a.m. Sunday, officers responded to a third crash involving two vehicles at Madison Avenue and Hopper Street. Both drivers, identified only as adult males, were pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities have not released the names of the victims in any of the crashes. Investigations into all three incidents are ongoing.
