More Showers & T-storms Ahead

Our weather pattern will continue to be rather active with periods of rain and t-storms.  This means more rounds of heavy downpours, frequent lighting strikes and gusty winds.  It’s possible we see fewer rounds of rain Wednesday and Thursday but the latter part of the week and upcoming weekend look active again.

The round of rain and storms moving through the area this afternoon and evening are capable of heavy rainfall, gusty winds, and frequent lightning strikes.  Some are even going severe ,so it’s a good idea to remain weather aware!  The rain activity will die out late evening and pretty much be gone by 11pm.  The rest of the night is looking mostly cloudy with areas of fog developing.

We think the training of rain and storms will decrease around midweek.  A boundary will press a little farther southward into the state and high pressure will try to squeeze in behind it. The better rain chances will shift into our southern counties. Temps should manage to reach the upper 80s to lower 90s for highs.

The latter half of the week and the upcoming weekend will be trending active again.  That high pressure system will be moving farther to our east and the flow of moisture will increase over us once again. As a result, we return to periods of rain and t-storms each day. Temperatures will manage the upper 80s to lower 90s for highs and overnight lows in the upper 60s to lower 70s.
