Effort underway to restart chamber of commerce in Linden

There’s a push in Linden to get the city’s chamber of commerce up and running again.

Organizers say the chamber went quiet during COVID, and now they’re trying to get the community involved to revive it.

They believe that having a chamber of commerce can really help spark new businesses and support the ones already there.

“We’re trying to help the businesses,” Karen Widener, who’s trying to restart the chamber told Action 8 News. “The main thing is we’re trying to grow Linden. I’m stepping up because I live here, grew up here and I want to see a change in Linden.”

There’s a meeting planned for Monday, June 23, at 6 PM at the Business Development Center.
