No Kings rally held outside the Alabama Department of Archives and History in downtown Montgomery

Groups called the Alabama Resisters of Indivisible, Montgomery 50501 Freedom Fighters and The Democratic Socialists of America held a No Kings rally in front of the Alabama Department of Archives and History building in downtown Montgomery.

The event held today was one of many across the country to protest President Donald Trump and his policies.

Organizers say they want to remind the Trump administration that the U.S. was founded on freedom from oppressive rule.

Some at the rally wore clown costumes to say the federal government is not the place for clowns to perform.

Counter-protesters were also seen at the rally.
