Montgomery home severely damaged in fire
Investigators are looking into the cause of a fire that left a Montgomery home severely damaged.
Montgomery Fire/Rescue Assistant Chief Stanley Cooper said the fire was reported just before 11:30PM last night at a home in the 2400 block of Spruce Curve.
The single story home had heavy smoke and flames when firefighters arrived. Cooper said crews were fighting the fire from the inside, but had to get out due to worsening conditions. They got most of the fire out from the outside before re-entering to get it fully put out.
Cooper said the Fire/Rescue chaplain is helping the people who lived there.
