Showers and storms Thursday, Less rain Friday and this weekend
Showers and storms were plentiful by midday Thursday, as a weakening cluster of them moved south from central Alabama during the late morning. Storms likely remain sub-severe for the rest of the afternoon. Due to the early onset of storms, our area may trend mainly dry fairly early Thursday evening. Thursday night looks dry, with a partially clearing sky and lows in the low 70s.
Rain chances trend lower starting Friday. Afternoon shower and storm coverage remains isolated to widely scattered. Meanwhile, temperatures respond by warming into the mid 90s in at least some locations. Showers and storms remain isolated Saturday and Sunday, with high temperatures in the mid 90s Saturday and Sunday. Rain chances remain low through next Wednesday. However, rain chances may increase late next week.
