Mid-to-upper-90° heat and less cooling rain through Wednesday
The first weekend of summer 2025 was hot and humid. However, temperature trend even hotter early this week. Isolated showers and storms formed across east Alabama Sunday afternoon. However, they fizzled out fairly quickly. Rain coverage was lower than Saturday. Looks like rain coverage remains low through the middle of this week. Sunday night looks dry, while the sky becomes mainly clear with lows in the low 70s.
Monday looks hotter than the weekend was, with high temperatures in the mid 90s in most locations. Only isolated showers or storms form during the afternoon. Expect similar heat Tuesday and Wednesday, with rain coverage remaining low each afternoon. Tuesday looks like the hottest day, with high temperatures in the upper 90s in some locations.
Shower and storm coverage rises late this week and next weekend. That helps curb the afternoon heat. Some locations may reach the mid 90s Thursday. However, high temperatures should be seasonable, in the low 90s, Friday through the weekend. Looks like rain coverage may be highest Saturday and Sunday, with scattered showers and storms each day. Rain chances remain decent early next week, with high temperatures near 90°.
