Montgomery Whitewater Park names new executive director

Montgomery Whitewater Park has named a new executive director.

Jason Wilson will now serve as the whitewater facility’s new leader.

With more than two decades of leadership experience in hospital, sports and entertainment, Wilson will oversee the next phase of growth and development within the park.

Before coming to Montgomery Whitewater, Wilson served as Vice President of Hospitality and Strategy for Levy Restaurants in Charlotte, where he oversaw a $25 million food and beverage operation at the Spectrum Center, which is home to the Charlotte Hornets, and led strategic efforts during a $217 million facility renovation.

“Jason brings a rare combination of strategic vision, operational excellence and a deep passion for creating unforgettable guest experiences,” said Jeffrey Gustin, CEO of Montgomery Whitewater Park. “His leadership will be instrumental as we continue building Montgomery Whitewater Park into a regional economic and recreational powerhouse.”

Wilson’s career includes senior leadership roles at Professional Sports Catering, where he was entrusted with multi-million-dollar capital projects and the design and execution of food and hospitality operations in new and renovated sports venues, including facilities in Las Vegas, El Paso and Worcester.

“I’m honored to join Montgomery Whitewater Park at such a pivotal moment,” said Wilson. “It’s a privilege to build on the strong foundation established by those who brought this transformative community vision to life. I look forward to working alongside the team to further elevate the park as a premier outdoor adventure destination and expand its positive impact on Montgomery and the surrounding region.”

Wilson is also no stranger to the Montgomery area. He served as Director of Operations from the time they relocated to the city in 2004 until 2009.
