ACTION 8 UPDATE: Montgomery police have made an arrest in two business burglaries.

Montgomery police Sgt. Tina McGriff told Action 8 News that 21-year-old Ethan Turner has been charged with two counts of first-degree burglary and two counts of first-degree theft of property.

McGriff said the first burglary happened on Saturday, June 28, at about 12:15AM.  Police responded to an alarm at a business in the 11000 block of Chantilly Parkway. As Action 8 News has reported, this theft happened at Pike Tactical, near Cuco’s Mexican Cafe. It appears the thief drove a car through the front of the store. The store sells guns and tactical supplies.

McGriff said the second case happened yesterday at about 12:24AM. Again, police responded to an alarm at a business in the 1200 block of North Eastern Boulevard at Walter Craig Sportsman’s Headquarters. Officers saw damage to the building and was told by the complainant that merchandise had been stolen.

McGriff said later, officers saw a vehicle believed to be connected to the theft and tried to stop it. The driver refused to stop, leading officers on a short chase that ended around Basset Drive. That’s where Turner was arrested.
