Arrest made in shooting on East South Boulevard in Montgomery

An arrest has been made in a shooting that happened last month on East South Boulevard.

The shooting happened at around 10PM on Saturday, June 21, in the 2200 block of East South Boulevard, which is between Narrow Lane Road and Woodley Road.

Court records say 31-year-old Marice Watkins of Montgomery shot a male victim in the right thigh after the victim accidentally stepped on Watkins’ shoe.

The victim was taken to the hospital with a non-life threatening gunshot wound.
