Tuskegee police make arrest in early morning shooting

Tuskegee police have made an arrest in an early morning shooting.

Officers were called around 1:42 a.m. Thursday to the 100 block of Motley Lane.

Once they arrived, they found an adult male victim with a non-life threatening gunshot wound. The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Investigators later determined 46-year-old Kelvin Lamar Turk, of Tuskegee, as the suspect.

Turk was later taken into custody by law enforcement.

Turk has been charged with Attempted Murder and Certain Persons Forbidden to Carry a Firearm.
