$5,000 reward offered for capture of Selma murder suspect
CrimeStoppers is offering a $5,000 reward for the capture of a man wanted for a murder in Selma.
The Selma Police Department along with the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force needs your help with information leading to the arrest of Deonte Demon Olds.
They say Olds is wanted for shooting Joseph Godwin in the chest and burning him in his car in Selma in May of 2023.
Olds was identified as the suspect in the case and a warrant for his arrest was issued by the Selma Police Department. Olds has been on the run since the murder. Olds was believed to be in Atlanta, Georgia, in the fall of 2023.
He is described as 6’1″ tall and 230 pounds. Investigators say he may have cut his hair and added tattoos to his face since this photo was taken.
