Still hot and humid, but better rain chances for the rest of the week
Temperatures were near 90° with heat indices of around 100° at noon Wednesday. High temperatures may be in the mid 90s in some locations Wednesday afternoon. However, showers and storms were already isolated to widely scattered at midday. A chance for a shower or storm continues through the evening, so some locations receive heat relief in the form of rain before the day ends. Wednesday night becomes mainly dry after midnight, with lows in the low to mid 70s.
Rain chances look even higher Thursday and Friday. Scattered to numerous showers and storms form across our area during the afternoon and evening. Better chances for rain means a little less heat, with seasonable high temperatures in the low 90s each day. Rain chances decrease again this weekend, with high temperatures in the low to mid 90s. Shower and storm coverage looks isolated to widely scattered early next week, then increases Wednesday through Friday.
