Heating Back Up Into the Mid 90s
We continue to expect scattered showers and t-storms over the weekend with fewer storms expected early next week. Temps will climb into the lower to mid 90s for highs and heat indices climb to around 100. This will be below heat advisory criteria but hot enough for us to urge caution.
The weekend is setting up to be hot with only isolated showers or t-storms around to combat the heat. Ample sunshine will lead to temps climbing into the mid 90s We encourage you to be mindful of those rogue pop up showers or t-storms. They can produce frequent lighting strikes. When thunder roars…head in doors!
Our rain chances will decrease quite a bit early next week. We expect the heat to crank up and temps are climbing into the mid to upper 90s for highs. There are signs a disturbance will move over the northern Florida peninsula and enter into the northern gulf around the middle of next week. This system should increase the moisture over our area and lead to increased rain chances Thursday into Friday.
