Low rain chances, mid-90° heat potential Sunday into next week

Saturday was hot and humid, with high temperatures in the low to mid 90s. With the humidity accounted for, heat indices were over 100° at times in some locations. Additionally, showers and storms were scarce across our area. Many locations remained dry and hot all day. Fortunately, temperatures cooled into the upper 70s by 10PM. Overnight lows range from the low to mid 70s with a mainly clear sky.

High temperatures could be in the mid 90s again on Sunday. While the morning remains dry with sunshine, isolated to widely scattered showers and storms form during the afternoon. Rain fades away Sunday night, the sky becomes mainly clear, and low temperatures range from the low to mid 70s. Rain chances remain low early next week, while high temperatures could be in the mid 90s in many locations through Wednesday.
