ACTION 8 UPDATE: Victims identified in two related shootings in Montgomery
Two people are dead in related shooting in Montgomery.
The incidents happened around 3:55 p.m. Saturday when officers responded to the 400 block of California Street and the 1700 block of Upper Wetumpka Road.
Officers and fire medics located an adult male, identified as 27-year-old Malik Benson, of Montgomery, on California Street with a life-threatening gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
Officers and fire medics also located an adult male, identified as 26-year-old Dekeith Whatley, of Montgomery, on Upper Wetumpka Road with a life-threatening gunshot wound. He was also pronounced dead on the scene.
No word on any suspects at this time.
