Pedestrian hit and killed in West Montgomery identified
Montgomery police have released the name of the pedestrian hit and killed over the weekend.
The accident happened around 6:25 p.m. Sunday in the area of Day Street near Cortez Street.
Once they arrived, they found a man, identified as 56-year-old Thad Irvin Green, of Montgomery, suffering from fatal injuries after he was hit by a car.
Green was pronounced dead on the scene.
Police say the driver of the vehicle remained on the scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
