Rain Chances Increasing Late Week

The heat is on with temps reaching the mid to upper 90s through Wednesday!  You factor in the humidity and it will feel more like 100 to 105.  We suggest you take it easy during the peak heating hours.  It’s best to stay hydrated and limit time in direct sunlight.  Looks like some relief from the heat is on the way.  Rain chances will be increasing as the weather pattern becomes more active with daily rounds of showers and t-storms.

Tonight is looking partly cloudy with temps dropping into the mid 70s for overnight lows.   We head into Wednesday with temps quickly warming through the 80s and soaring into into the 90s during the afternoon hours.  Heat indices will be between 100 to 105.  Isolated showers and t-storms are possible but not all of us see them.

A tropical disturbance will make its way into the eastern gulf Wednesday.  It will move westward and could strengthen into a depression or even a tropical storm.  On the other hand, it could just be rain maker for the northern gulf coast over the next several day.  Either way, we expect rain activity to increase across South Alabama through the latter half of the week.

At this point, the upcoming weekend is looking hot with scattered showers and storms.  Temps will continue to manage the lower 90s for highs.  Showers and t-storms activity will knock the heat off in spots.
