Periods Of Showers And T-showers Through Late Week

A tropical wave in the northern gulf if feeding moisture into the state.  The circulation around the wave will help trigger periods of showers and t-showers through late week.   Increased cloud cover and rain activity will knock the heat down a bit in spots.

Tonight is looking partly cloudy with temps dropping into the mid 70s for overnight lows.   We head into Thursday with temps warming through the 80s and into into the 90s during the afternoon hours.  Isolated showers and t-showers are possible but not all of us see them.

The tropical disturbance to our south will make its way westward into Louisiana Thursday.  It could still strengthen into a depression but we don’t see it becoming anything significant.   It looks to be mainly a rain maker for the northern gulf coast over the next several day.  The seas and surf will be a bit rough and those traveling to the coast should pay attention to the flags.  Rip currents will be an issue and dangerous at times. We expect rain activity to increase across South Alabama through the latter half of the week as well.

At this point, the upcoming weekend is looking hot with scattered showers and storms.  Temps will continue to manage the lower 90s for highs.  Showers and t-storms activity will knock the heat off in spots.
