8 ON YOUR SIDE: Poppi drinkers can get money from court settlement

8 ON YOUR SIDE: People who’ve tried the pre-biotic beverage Poppi can get cash from a court settlement.

The product’s former owner, VNGR Beverage, LLC, has settled a class action lawsuit that claimed the drink was improperly marketed as quote “gut healthy.”

Court records show the company did not admit to any sort of wrongdoing in the settlement, but it will refund nearly $9 million to customers.

The agreement calls for consumers to receive refunds including $3 for each four-pack and $6 per eight-pack.

A $16 reimbursement cap was placed for consumers without a proof of purchase.
