The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency says 29-year-old Daniel McCarn is now in custody.

A Blue Alert has been issued an a suspect shot a Scottsboro police officer Saturday.

29-year-old Daniel Victor McCarn, of Huntsville, was last seen on foot in the area of U.S. Highway 72 and County Park Road in Jackson County.

McCarn is described as 5’10” and weighs 170 lbs. He has brown hair and brown eyes.

Troopers say McCarn is currently at large and is armed and dangerous.

No word on the condition of the officer at this time.

If you have any information concerning McCarn’s whereabouts, do not approach him but call 911 immediately.

A Blue Alert is issued any time a peace officer is missing, injured or killed and the at large suspect is believed to be a serious threat to the public.
