Opp woman killed in Covington County crash
A two-vehicle crash in Covington County has claimed the life of an Opp woman.
It happened around 10:15 a.m. Saturday on Covington County 82 near Murray Road, approximately one mile west of Gantt.
Troopers say 71-year-old Carol Kingsbury was fatally injured when the motorcycle she was driving struck the rear end of another motorcycle.
After the initial crash, the motorcycle overturned throwing Kinsbury from it. She was pronounced dead on the scene.
The driver of the other motorcycle was not injured.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
