Texas man killed in Dallas County crash
A single-vehicle crash in Dallas County has claimed the life of a Hurst, Texas man, and injured another.
The crash happened around 11:35 a.m. Saturday on U.S. 80 near the 93 mile marker, approximately eight miles east of Selma.
52-year-old Jason Tyree was fatally injured when the pickup truck in which he was a passenger left the roadway and struck a guardrail. Troopers say Tyre was not using a seat belt and was pronounced dead on the scene.
The driver of that same vehicle was injured and taken to Baptist Medical Center South in Montgomery for treatment.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
